INSTALLATION
All bolts used for plastic components (such as shrouds, fenders, and number plates) must be tightened to a torque of 6 Nm.
These bolts are designed for weight saving, not for high strength. As a result, applying too much torque can cause the bolts to deform or break.
Using the correct torque setting is critical to avoid damage to both the bolts and the plastic parts.
⚠️ Important:
Do not overtighten!
Always use a torque wrench.
Exceeding 6 Nm may result in bolt failure.
Other Bolts (Structural Components)
Bolts used for structural and mechanical components—such as:
Triple clamps(USE GREASE)
Engine and engine mounts
Seat
Frame-related parts
must be tightened according to the OEM torque specifications provided by the motorcycle manufacturer.
Finding OEM Torque Specifications
OEM torque values can be found in the official service or workshop manual.
These manuals are often available online as PDF files.
Always match the specifications to your exact model and year.
Final Notes
Use a calibrated torque wrench at all times.
Be especially cautious with aluminum components.
Recheck bolt torque after the first ride when installing new hardware.
Following these instructions ensures correct installation, prevents unnecessary damage, and allows you to benefit fully from the lightweight design of the bolt kit.
